The Purpose

Work within Supply Stores and undertake the issue, receipt and storage of the logistics Supply-chain in support of HADES operations.

The key accountabilities of the jobholder will be as follows:

Carry out physical issue and receipt Barrack stores to or from Service Families (SFA) & Single Living Accommodation (SLA) as well as Perform office moves as required.
Prepare Documentation for the Issue and Receipt of stock.
Locate and manage all stock holdings including unserviceable equipment through repair cycle in accordance with Defence and Logistic policies.
Assess serviceability of equipment in conjunction with the Supervisor/Team Lead
Ensure vehicles are loaded to ensure both safety and safeguard all equipment whilst in transit.
Assist with any stock reconciliations by carrying out Stocktaking/Snap Check programmes within Stockholding Groups as required.
Maintain physical security of all stocks, assets and buildings under their control.
Check and safely operate MHE provided for use within Supply Flight operation areas.
Complete daily housekeeping for all areas of responsibility to ensure safety and cleanliness expectations are maintained.
Carry out cross training for other supply roles for business continuity purposes.
Ensure all H&S standards and policies (including risk assessments) are adhered to in accordance with the Babcock Values, Standards and ways of working 'Home Safe Every Day'.
Responsible for personal safety as well as the safety of colleagues and visitors. Ensuring safety is treated as priority over all other elements with accurate and timely reporting of any safety event or observation into first line manager for investigation and corrective action.
Undertake Babcock and MoD training courses as required to carry out the role.
Liaise with the Supply Manager in the absence of the Team Lead
Carry out other tasks to support and ensure HADES contractual delivery; within your sphere of experience and capability as directed by Babcock management.

Who we're looking for:

Previous experience in Supply Chain/Logistics in a military or equivalent civilian environment.
Familiar with MoD Logistics Procedures and documentation. (Desirable)
Computer literate
Can work on their own initiative
Able to be flexible to accommodate changes in work practices
Hold full current driving license. (Desirable)
Physically fit and able to work outside throughout the year (Essential)
