GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious manufacturing client in Wolverhampton.

Our client is a leading manufacturer to a number of aerospace companies worldwide. Due to rapid expansion, they are seeking skilled TiG welders who have experience working with aluminium.

About you:

• You must have experience working with aluminium and be happy working from and interpreting engineering drawings.
  
  
• You will ideally have experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting, although this is not essential.
  
  
• You will be working to very high tolerances, so the ability to ensure the quality of your own work is vital.
  
  
• As part of the interview process you will be required to undertake a weld test which will involve a tube to plate weld, a plate to plate weld, a fillet weld and a butt weld. You must be confident you can complete all to a high standard.
  
  
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be able to pass a DBS check and provide reference details.
  
  
• You are required to have an NVQ Level 3 or higher/equivalent in a relevant skill set
  
  Pay:
  
  
• £22.19 (£19.31 per hour +15% shift allowance) subject to weld test.
  
  
• Great overtime rates available.
  
  Hours of work:
  
  
• Double day rotating shift, Monday-Friday.
  
  
• 06.00am - 14.00pm OR 13.30pm - 21.30pm
  
  This role comes with the opportunity of a permanent position following the successful completion of a qualifying period. Your own transport is ideally required as public transport cannot be relied upon due to start times.
