Job Description

 

As a Test Engineer you will, support the Lead Engineer in the management and execution of all Test & Development Build 

activities to ensure successful, on-time Certification and delivery of all new seating projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the test requirements of multiple concurrently running programs and prioritise test activity accordingly
  • Organise & execute test activities using the in-house rig for static, abuse & cyclic testing
  • Lead the dynamic test activities at an external test facility.
  • Record data during tests comprehensively and convert this into clear and concise test reports for both internal and external customers
  • Liaise with the development build teams to ensure seat builds are on schedule to meet test schedule
  • Support the continuous improvement of test methods to improve the efficiency and quality of test activity

 

To be successful in this position, you will have/be;

 

  • At least an HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (or experience to a similar level)
  • Previous experience working in a test environment
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure while achieving challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Ability to analyse the results & data from multiple tests and present the data concisely to peers, Senior Management and Executive leadership
  • Ability to react effectively to regularly changing schedules, priorities and test requirements
  • Proficient use of standard workshop tools is essential
