Location:
Glasgow (Full-time preferred, hybrid options available)

Clearance Requirement:
Sole UK National, SC Clearable

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and executesoftware test casesto verify system requirements, ensuring full test coverage.
• Set up and managetest environmentsforhardware and software integration, supporting complex system validation.
• Plan and conductsoftware test campaigns, integrating real hardware with simulation and emulation tools.
• Develop and maintaintest documentation, includingtest plans, reports, compliance records, and fault logs.
• Performmanual and automated testinginLinux and Windowsenvironments, ensuring software reliability.
• Investigate and report defects, providing clearreproduction steps and root cause analysisto engineering teams.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years experienceinsoftware test engineering, preferably indefence, aerospace, or complex safety-critical systems.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field or a UK military technical background.
• Strong knowledge ofblack-box and white-box testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience withreal-time embedded systems and software/hardware version control.
• Proficiency intest case generation, metrics tracking, and compliance verification.
• Experience usingDOORSforrequirements management and test case linking.
• Familiarity withtest automation frameworksandCI/CD environments.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge ofIEC-61508 or DO-178C standardsfor software testing in safety-critical environments.
• Experience inautomated test scriptingandAgile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Background insoftware development, particularly in C, C++, or Python.
