Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Role Purpose: Covering the Thames Valley area for Thames Water, this role's purpose is to modify control panels and telemetry equipment at various sites across the region, including telemetry outstation replacements and multi-smart systems.

Responsibilities
  • Contracted to 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. Travel time paid door to door. Overtime during the weekends paid at an inflated rate.
  • Complete electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards
  • Ensure all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to
  • Install items to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
  • Follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and be empowered to stop work if unsafe circumstances arise
  • Promote Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
  • Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices
  • Operate within the Thames Valley region for Thames Water on telemetry and panel modifications
Requirements

Essential

  • ECS Gold Card (essential)
  • Telemetry outstation replacements or MultiSmart systems experience
  • Panel wiring / modifications experience
  • Experience within Industrial (ideally water) industries
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Always follows best practice with a positive attitude towards Health and Safety
  • Full UK driving Licence
  • Fit for work medical

  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined space
  • EUSR & Thames Water Passport
  • Inspection and testing certificate
  • Emergency first aid or first aider
  • CCNSG (or similar)
