We are looking for a highly motivated Applied and Regulated Development scientist with good lab-based skills to join our Applied and Regulated Development team. Our Applied and Regulated Development team is responsible for the development, optimisation, and verification of products to be used for clinical applications. Reporting to the Associate Director, Translational Development - Infection, you will play a pivotal role in developing products in the infection space. Experience in molecular biology including NGS, PCR, qPCR, isothermal amplification and standard nucleic acid handling techniques. Experience with assay design, development and optimisation. Experience of working within a quality management system e.g. Experience handling BSL organisms and cell culture. Development, optimisation and verification of preparation workflows. Development of biochemical and biophysical assays. Testing / optimising new components prior to release. Operation of our Nanopore range of sequencing devices and associated software. Data analysis (from basic data manipulation to more complex bioinformatic pipelines). The successful candidate will hold a degree in physical, chemical or biological sciences and will have experience of working in a development team.
