Silicon Microgravity Ltd is looking to hire a Technical Assistant to work on development and production of MEMS devices. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your hands-on skillset, applying knowledge and experience gained from a science degree or laboratory experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Characterisation of MEMS dies on probe station.
  
  
• Controlled packaging of silicon dies.
  
  
• Wirebonding
  
  
• Process development of vacuum packaging of MEMS.
  
  
• Clear documentation and stock keeping of accelerometers including ordering parts.
  
  
• Help with setup of experiments.
  
  
• Cooperate with R&D on new sensing technology development.
  
  Experience required
  
  
• Science or Engineering graduate or equivalent work experience of more than 2 years in laboratory environment/cleanroom.
  
  
• Python/programming experience is advantageous.
  
  
• Experience with electronics and PCB soldering would be advantageous
  
  Other requirements
  
  
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to function as part of a team.
  
  
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  
  
• An excellent working knowledge of English.
  
  
• Ability to travel to device production facilities and customer site visits.
