As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to manage and grow a successful region in the South East of the UK. This field-based role offers an exciting blend of account management and new business development, ensuring every day is varied and challenging.

The Role

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Key Account Development: Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for growth.

  • New Business Development: Drive sales by identifying and converting new business opportunities, particularly within OEMs and integrators.

  • Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions using the company’s comprehensive product range.

  • Industry Expertise: Work across multiple industries, including automation, robotics, medical, aerospace, and energy, presenting solutions to technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Territory Management: Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve targets in your region.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions and post-sales support.

    What We’re Looking For

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven Sales Experience: A strong track record in industrial/engineering sales, ideally supporting OEMs and End Users

  • Technical Acumen: While a degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) is advantageous, practical experience and a sound understanding of mechanical/technical principles are equally valued.

  • Relationship Builder: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at all levels.

  • Commercial Awareness: A results-oriented mindset with a clear understanding of the sales process and market trends.

  • Self-Motivation: Comfort working in a field-based role, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential for this position.
