Job Title: Systems Engineer – Verification & Validation

Duration: 12-Month Rolling Contract

Location: Hybrid – Bristol (2 days on-site per week)

Hourly Rate: £65.00 – £75.00

Clearance: Current SC Clearance (or eligibility) required

Systems Engineer – Verification & Validation

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer (Verification & Validation) to support a long-term, high-security engineering programme involving advanced containment systems and safety-critical infrastructure. This role provides holistic lifecycle support, with a primary focus on V&V activities, integration testing, and design validation within a complex, regulated environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience in systems engineering with emphasis on Verification & Validation

Ability to design and implement test cases for safety-critical systems and software

Experience developing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) plans

Strong understanding of requirements capture, design validation, and integration

Current SC Clearance (or eligibility)

Background in defence, nuclear, aerospace, or other highly regulated environments

UK work authorisation required

Desirable:

Familiarity with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, MBSE, SysML)

Knowledge of standardisation principles, including reuse of components and COTS/MOTS solutions

Experience with configuration control and PLM processes

Ability to produce optioneering reports and equipment specifications

Degree in engineering or related technical discipline (e.g., Electrical, Electronic, Systems)
