This permanent role presents a unique opportunity to develop and implement structured engineering solutions that meet programme requirements across the entire development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legislation, customer requirements, human factors, and business needs. You will be expected to deliver these solutions in line with agreed technical, quality, cost, and schedule mandates. Please note, due to the nature and security level of the projects, this role is restricted to UK + EU nationals only, with the potential for one day of home working per week when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture and define requirements through a disciplined and rigorous approach to requirements engineering
Construct and implement embedded engineering solutions including detailed design, technical reviews, and performance optimisation
Plan and document system verification across various tests such as system tests, development tests, component tests, integration tests, and flight tests
Generate work products conforming to all technical and quality requirements through robust configuration control and change management processes
Assist in compiling plans, estimates, task lists, and risk management plans in support of programme objectives
Work with customers, other engineering disciplines, and internal departments throughout the development process
Perform internal project activities and collaborate with external sub-contract organisations with a positive attitude
Contribute to continual process improvement in support of the company's business and strategic objectives

Job Requirements:

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
Experience of working as a Systems Engineer
Experience in Systems V&V, Systems Full Lifecycle, Systems Integration, and Systems Design
Proficiency in facilitating trade-offs between hardware and software and partitioning equipment requirements
Awareness of aircraft certification requirements and design experience with aircraft equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent decision-making, analytical, and research skills
Well-organised, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers
Intermediate knowledge of PC software applications and operating systems
