Salary: £25-£35 perhour - Outside IR35 JOB SUMMARY If you are meticulous andpassionate Supplier Quality Engineer, you may be the person we arelooking for to fill this unique and challenging role! Working withthe Quality Team, the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will haveextensive supplier development experience within the defence sectoror similar and relevant environment. The role is demanding andincludes a significant element of supplier development andimprovement activity within the supply chain. MAIN JOB DUTIES -Strong knowledge of supplier development techniques and execution.- Understanding and interpretation of Mechanical and Electricalengineering drawings. - Lead and undertake supplier audits andreport on Key Performance Indicators through objective assessmentsof supply chain performance and product quality. - Review suppliermanufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers on processimprovement and value enhancement opportunities. - Assist in thesupplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technologycapabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks. - Carryoutand coach the supplier base in Material Review Boards, Root CauseCorrective Action, Non-Conformance Management, design, anddevelopment phases of programmes and support the link betweenGoods-In and the relevant manufacturing facility. - Work withinhouse Engineering, Design and Manufacturing departments to defineprocess parameters ensuring that supplier process capability iseffective to meet design intent. - Support the Product IntroductionManagement process to ensure that the supplier chain can meets therequired standards. - Knowledge and experience of coaching anddeveloping internal and external stakeholders in Quality AssuranceTools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, First Article InspectionReports and Part Submission Warrants. - Working knowledge ofISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018 and Defence AQAP’s. -Knowledge of measurement techniques including Metrology, InspectionMethods, and Equipment.
