Supplier Quality Engineer

We have an opportunity for aSupplier Quality Engineerto join us at Honeywell, in Redditch, where you will be a key member of the Quality team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our suppliers' products and processes. You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring that our suppliers meet Honeywell's quality standards and strategy.

This role will be 100% onsite at our Redditch location, with 15-20% UK based travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives for supplier quality improvement to ensure alignment with Honeywell's quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct audits to evaluate supplier capabilities and identify areas needing enhancement, while assessing compliance with Honeywell's requirements.
  • Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor and analyse supplier quality metrics to uncover trends and opportunities for performance enhancement.
  • Provide technical support to suppliers and foster strong relationships through collaboration, while also coaching and mentoring team inspectors.


Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or time served apprenticeship in Engineering or a related field
  • Strong background in a manufacturing or supplier quality role
  • Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
