Supplier Quality Specialist - Aerospace Electrical Systems (Full-Time Onsite)

My Client is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Specialist to join a high-performing aerospace team based full-time at a manufacturing facility in Cheltenham. This long-term contract role (until June 2026, initially) focuses on the production and quality assurance of electrical distribution panels and boxes used in commercial aircraft platforms.

You will be responsible for ensuring that complex electrical assemblies-typically installed beneath aircraft cabin floors-meet rigorous industry and contractual standards. Key responsibilities include First Article Inspections (AS9102), product verification, audit support, and supplier quality oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform source inspections on aerospace electrical hardware and assemblies

Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 standards

Conduct product verifications, process assessments, and supplier quality reviews

Drive investigations into quality escapes and non-conformances

Support supplier capability assessments and quality improvement initiatives

Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to maintain delivery and quality targets

Essential Experience:

Background in aerospace electronics and electrical wiring inspection

Strong working knowledge of AS9102, ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems

Ability to interpret technical documentation and inspection criteria

Previous experience conducting inspections, assessments and audits

Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Actionmethodologies and processes (RCCA)

Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach
