Head of Supply Chain

Description

We are seeking a Strategic Relationship Manager to support the Head of Supply Chain in managing the operational relationships with our Primary Sub-Contractors (PSC). This role involves planning, control, quality management, and supply chain management to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Role Focus:
  • Collaborative management of PSC relationships
  • PSC performance monitoring with a focus on value for money and KPI performance
  • PSC governance


Key Responsibilities

Customers:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the PSC community and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Establish open and accurate information exchange and proactive approaches to ensure effective operational contacts and processes.
  • Provide consultancy to internal stakeholders on interpreting PSC agreements to improve working relationships and meet their needs.
Relationship Management:
  • Act as the lead contractual interface between AirTanker Services and the PSCs to maximise performance and value.
  • Manage day-to-day PSC activities, including monitoring and evaluating supplier performance, spend, and KPIs.
  • Use ERP platforms and other data sources to capture, analyse, and report on risks and issues.
  • Manage Monthly and Quarterly Service Review meetings, including coordination, chairing, and documentation production.
  • Coordinate presentation materials for Senior Reviews for the Head of Supply Chain, identifying risks and issues.
  • Manage all purchase orders related to non-aircraft spares expenditure in accordance with AS.24 Supply Chain Directive and AS.21 Business Ethics and Compliance Policy.
  • Represent PSCs internally to ensure dependencies are managed appropriately within relevant business areas.
  • Deputise for the Head of Supply Chain when required.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience in performance managing and developing sub-contracts within a services business.
  • Strong people and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with significant suppliers, internal customers/stakeholders, and external customers.
  • Experience in optimising a multi-million pound supply chain within a services business environment.
  • Industry experience in Engineering, Aerospace, or Defence.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment and ability to meet deadlines.
