Join our team as a Key Account Manager (KAM) for the Aerospace Global Account Program, where you’ll play a major role in managing key customer relationships and driving business development within the Aerospace vertical. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives and work across multiple Kuehne+Nagel services to bring innovative solutions to our clients.

Your Role The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing the entire commercial customer journey, including relationship management and business development activities for a dedicated portfolio of accounts. As the primary Kuehne+Nagel representative, you will qualify account intelligence, translate this into actionable business targets, and ensure these are captured in an evolving customer strategy. You will build strong, direct relationships with key customer stakeholders and manage key account activities in line with Kuehne+Nagel’s Key Account Program guidelines. Your Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounts according to agreed targets and company guidelines, identifying customer needs and promoting Kuehne+Nagel’s service portfolio.
  • Gain deep understanding of the customer's business model, decision-making processes, and competitive environment.
  • Negotiate rates and service contracts with customers, ensuring that all commercial requirements are documented and maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with Kuehne+Nagel sales management systems, maintaining up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as pipeline activity, financials, and consulting activities.
  • Lead structured review sessions with customers to assess strategy, priorities, and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence in collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers.#LI-AM1

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s in International Studies, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s in Supply Chain preferred.
  • Broad sales experience (6 years minimum), ideally in the aerospace sector.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain logistics (air, sea, road).
  • Proven success in business development, consultative selling, and up/cross-selling.
  • Skilled in negotiation, persuasion, and stakeholder management. Experience managing global and virtual teams is a plus.
  • Fluent English is required, German would be a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
