My client in Birmingham, are a privately owned specialist engineering business trading on a global basis, supplying precision machined components to the aerospace, energy, medical and rail sectors.

Their strength is the ability to engineer and manufacture highly complex machined components in a wide range of materials both hard & soft utilizing all necessary techniques.

Through growth, we are looking for and experienced Stores Person to join the team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:00-3:30pm, Fri 7:00-2:00pm

Responsibilities:

Stores person, general stores duty, Taking deliveries booking in, raising Purchase orders for material and tooling . Issuing stock to shopfloor. Responsibly for bar stock levels.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment meeting deadlines of tasks

  • Computer literate with the likes of Microsoft office and stores systems

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

  • Honest, with good work ethic

  • Previous experience in a similar role ideal, but not essential as full training will be provided

  • Forklift training (preferred, but not essential as training can be arranged)
