Magdalene provides specialist services to our clients in the fixed, mobile and utilities infrastructure networks in both public and private sectors of the market.Our services include acquisition, design, construct, rigging, first line maintenance, managed services, capital project delivery, complete network outsourcing, smart metering, and satellite solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake or support rapid restoration of network fault resolution within SLA (and prior to critical Service failure where possible)Take an overall pro-active responsibility for the technical support / issues arising within the network environment, working with associated Service Desks to ensure the correct action for an incident is taken and posted to the correct resolving agency (with necessary diagnostics / impact assessments)To investigate network problems identified using pro-active (management) tools - where possible before critical Services are impactedEnsure that incidents are escalated according to the Operational Procedures Document as requiredBuild and maintain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholdersBe an active stakeholder of the continuous business improvement programme feeding in all improvement opportunities that may have been identified during your day-to-day roleOther duties as may be required to ensure operational targets are metKey competencies / ExperienceCapable of working to 2nd line support level on PDH, SDH & Radio Communications environmentUnderstanding of network management and use of Network Management Platform tools.Must be PC literate and competent with Word/Excel/Visio/ MS Project.Track record of successfully prioritising simultaneous activities within SLA.Self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environmentGood knowledge of SLAs and reportingExperience in working under pressure and to fixed deadlinesGood problem-solving skillsHighly numerate and literate, with excellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to, and work closely with colleagues, clients and suppliers at all levels of the business hierarchyExperience of ITSMs desirable, specifically SalesforceKnowledge of high voltage substation environment 33kv-400kv or operational telecoms networksRecognised technical courses on related technical products and servicesApproved best practise qualifications such as ITILAny Industry Standard SDH, PDH, Telephony or IP Accredited qualificationsAbout The Company Why choose us?We promise development and reward opportunities for those who have the passion, enthusiasm and work ethic to harness them.
