Our client, a leading US-headquartered manufacturing company, is expanding its UK operations under dynamic new leadership. The Role

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will play a crucial role in fabricating, fitting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft engine components. Working to high-quality standards, you will collaborate with key business areas across the site to ensure precision and compliance with engineering specifications.

This is a hands-on role that requires a detail-oriented and proactive approach, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricating and assembling sheet metal components to aircraft standards

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and tight tolerances

  • Setting up and operating fabricating machines for cutting, bending, and straightening sheet metal

  • Performing general machine maintenance to ensure a safe and clean working environment

  • Supporting Continuous Improvement (LEAN, 6S) initiatives across the workshop

    About You:

  • Time-served Sheet Metal Worker with a professional qualification

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexible approach to shift patterns (Monday - Thursday 6-2 to 2- 10 & Friday 6am – 11am / 11am – 4pm).

  • Experience with high-temperature alloys is highly desirable

  • TIG welding experience would be an advantage
