SHEET METAL WORKER

What is the objective of this role and what does it consist of?

ITP Aero UK are recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker to join our growing team in Hucknall, United Kingdom.

This role is full-time.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to contribute to delivering aerospace products on-quality and on-time, operating in accordance with safety requirements.

What profile are we looking for?

It is essential that the successful candidate:

Possess a recognised time-served apprenticeship within an Engineering discipline at NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3, or BTEC national or equivalent qualification Can demonstrate experience in; fabrication and manual sheet metal working practises (e.g. understanding of pattern drawing and development, flattening, planishing, forming, bending and stretching), simple press work and working to engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications Is IT literate, with experience in Microsoft Office preferable Can demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mind-set and be willing to develop new skills. On the job and classroom training will be provided. Understands the importance of ensuring a clean and safe environment is maintained in the workplace

It is desirable that the successful candidate:

Knowledge of lean principles and process basics, problem solving skills, knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures, good interpersonal skills, has worked in a customer focused environment that is subject to change, has worked to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments, has participated in continuous review and improvement processes

 Who will I work with (in my team and in collaboration with other areas)?

You will work at ITP Aero’s Hucknall site, located in Nottinghamshire.

Your team will comprise of professionals with extensive experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry, consisting of a skilled workforce and integrated Manufacturing and Design Engineering capabilities.

 What are the working hours?

Shifts – 37 hours per week working on the following 3 Shift Pattern:

Mornings: 6.00 am – 2.12 pm Monday-Friday

Afternoons: 1.48 pm – 9.30 pm Monday-Thursday

1.48 pm – 7.00 pm Friday

Nights: 9.00 pm – 6.15 am Monday-Thursday
