Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker with expertise in TIG welding to join our client's team in Leeds, working to pharmaceutical-grade standards.

This is a permanent position.

Rates of pay are between £17.00 and £19.00 per hour depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding stainless steel components used in cleanroom and hygienic environments, ensuring compliance with GMP and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble stainless steel sheet metal components to precise specifications.
Perform high-quality TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel (typically 304/316L).
Ensure all work meets pharmaceutical hygiene standards, including smooth, crevice-free finishes.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and isometric diagrams.
Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on welds and finished products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in line with cleanroom protocols.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality assurance teams.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel.
Experience working to pharmaceutical, food-grade, or cleanroom standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and hygienic design principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have Press Brake experienceDesirable Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent.
Valid TIG welding certifications (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606-1).
