Purpose of the Role


As the Senior Vice President of the Group Sustainability Solutions, you will lead BSI’s global efforts to develop and deliver innovative sustainability solutions to our clients that address the environmental, sustainability, and governance aspects of the broad sustainability challenges in society. Your strategic vision and leadership will drive the creation of cutting-edge commercial offerings that address the sustainability challenges facing businesses today and those they will face tomorrow. 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 

Position BSI as a thought leader in the sustainability solutions pace through thought leadership initiatives, speaking engagements, and active participation in industry forums and conferences. Advocate for sustainable business practices and promote the adoption of our solutions across the business community. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, assess client requirements, and design innovative offerings that deliver measurable environmental and business value at an enterprise level. Lead a high-performing virtual team of sustainability experts, business development professionals, and other key sustainability roles.  Ensure the individuals can deliver the sustainability value proposition to the client.  Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence; empowering team members to achieve their full potential and drive enterprise success. Build and maintain relationships with key clients at senior levels to understand their sustainability objectives, challenges, and priorities.  Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory pressures, and opportunities for differentiation in the sustainability solutions space.  Forge strategic partnerships with established and impactful international organisations (WHO, WEF, etc.) technology providers, industry experts, and other stakeholders to enhance our capabilities and expand our offering portfolio.  Establish performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness and impact of our sustainability solutions. 

To be successful in the role, you will have: 

Extensive experience (15+ years) in developing and commercializing sustainability solutions, preferably in a consulting or technology-driven environment, across sectors and throughout complex, global value chains Bachelor's degree in sustainability, business, engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred). Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling commercial products or services. Strong business acumen and understanding of client needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the sustainability solutions space. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence internal teams and external partners. Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social impact through innovative business solutions. Leadership within a global, matrix organization. Excellent understanding of current sustainability/ESG issues and the ability to keep abreast of emerging trends.
