Senior Mechanical Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a rapidly expanding SME specializing in electro-mechanical systems. This position, based in Southampton, will see you playing a pivotal role in developing solutions for multiple high-tech industries including automotive, aerospace, defence and rail.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and development of power electronics systems.
Implementation of electronics packaging to enhance system reliability.
Execution of EMC compliance measures.
Conducting thermal and stress analysis to ensure product integrity under operational conditions.
Utilizing 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks, for design and simulation.Skills required:

Electronics Packaging: Skilled in designing packaging solutions that protect sensitive electronic components.
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility): Proficient in applying EMC standards to prevent or minimize electromagnetic interference.
Thermal & Structural Analysis: Ability to perform detailed analysis to predict the performance under thermal and structural stresses.
SolidWorks Proficiency: Expertise in using SolidWorks for mechanical design and analysis, with additional experience in SolidWorks Flow and vibration environments being highly desirable.
