Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Specialty Thin Film is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Sales responsible for supporting customers in the United Kingdom, Europe and The Middle East. As a division of Vishay Intertechnology, Vishay Specialty Thin Film focuses on custom manufacturing of highly engineered thin film circuits and components for use in critical applications in defense, aerospace, satellite, medical, industrial, electric vehicle, and 5G market segments.


Job Location:

This role is will be a remote position with travel required.


What you will be doing:

  • Manages all accounts in the defined territory from a sales and business development perspective.
  • Visits customers on a regular basis to promote our technology and capabilities.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Supports customers by answering inquiries, communicating delivery dates, and explaining order details.
  • Monitoring the results of sales activities against planned objectives. Reporting the results to senior management and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends.
  • Maintains and improves customer service quality by following documented processes, recommends improved policies and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new processes and part numbers, participating in engineering and manufacturing discussions.
  • Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, including key personnel in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and purchasing.
  • Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets.
  • Functions as a key participant in sales negotiations with major customers in order to close sales.
  • Develop realistic forecasting plans.


What you will bring along:

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, RF, and/or microwave sales positions with a demonstrated history of progressive achievement.
  • Technical bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in experience.
  • Must be able to travel 15% - 25% of time.
  • CRM experience is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Focused, upbeat and positive contributor.
