Senior Project Manager – Defence & Security Sector

📍 Boscombe, Portsmouth and Malvern (On-site with some flexibility)
💰 £400–£450 per day
📅 Long-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a high-profile defence, aerospace, and security organisation delivering complex refurbishment and new build projects on a secure site in Boscombe, Portsmouth and Malvern.

You’ll play a key role in leading end-to-end project delivery - from early-stage planning through to handover - with responsibility for driving programmes, managing stakeholders, and ensuring works are delivered to time, quality, and compliance standards.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:



Lead the delivery of refurbishment and new build projects within a live, secure environment

*

Oversee full project lifecycle: design coordination, procurement, programme, and commercial oversight

*

Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and key government stakeholders

*

Manage risks, change control, and site-based project issues effectively

*

Ensure all works comply with CDM regulations, health & safety protocols, and site security procedures

✅ Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within defence, aerospace, secure government, or similarly complex sectors

*

Track record in delivering refurbishment and/or new build projects (ideally within live operational environments)

*

Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills

*

Familiarity with NEC or JCT contract forms

*

Active SC Clearance is highly desirable or must be eligible to obtain
