Holiday: 25 days per full calendar year, increasing with length of service, plus public holidays

Monmouth Scientific Limited was established in 2004 and has been expanding rapidly ever since. We have a very diverse but niche range of products covering a variety of disciplines and technologies around Fume Containment and Clean Air and bespoke Air Handling systems.
We carry out servicing, repair and calibration of Air Handling Equipment all over the UK and ROI, and we are now regarded as one of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of Fume Cabinets and Clean Air solutions, not only in the UK, but increasingly more further afield in Europe, Africa and Asia.
Our client base consists of many prestigious companies and organisations in a wide range of sectors from Educational, Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport and Private enterprise.
Summary Of Duties:

  • To gain a thorough technical understanding of our full range of products and their respective servicing requirements, in line with the latest British Standards, including legal (digital) Service paperwork completion
  • To drive nationwide as required, predominantly Northern England and Scotland Based to represent Monmouth face to face with our customers in a professional, well-presented and courteous manner.
  • To deliver, install, commission, service and maintain our wide range of laboratory equipment and clean areas at Customer premises.
  • To provide Customer support and training during delivery, commissioning & installation of new products.
  • To deal with Customer enquiries, and when necessary, complaints, when in the field, and report objectively on Customer satisfaction as and when required
  • To undergo ongoing product and application training, both internal and external, to maintain individual skills and keep up to date with the latest production and servicing concepts.
  • To undertake ad hoc duties, tasks or activities required or deemed necessary, as required.
  • To adhere to all Health & Safety policies & procedures issued by the Company at all times.
    Essential Key Skills & Person Specification (including but not limited to):
  • Excellent attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and a practical ‘attitude.
  • High personal standards and a ‘driven’ approach to work, willing to accept responsibility.
  • Ability to follow processes and quality-controlled standards of work, in line with Company procedures.
  • Proficient organisational and workload management skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and re-prioritise as required, to meet a continuously changing delivery schedule.
  • Calm disposition under pressure, able to make effective decisions and work to tight deadlines.
  • Personable nature, with effective communication and listening skills, able to liaise confidently with staff and Customers at all levels.
  • Tact and diplomacy when on site, with the ability to deal with multiple Customer queries at once.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade “C” in English Language and Mathematics
    Essential / Desirable Skills:
  • Essential--- Industry-related service & installation experience with Bio-cabinets, D.O.P. & KI Testing.
  • Essential--- CSCS Card & DBS checks for MOD, Home Office, Nuclear, Schools and Colleges etc. (If not held currently needs to be applied for and acceptance and gained within 6 months to meet the standard required)
  • Desirable--- Competency in electrical skills fault finding (17th/18th Edition, qualified, desirable)
