A focused engineering team, they provide systems for some of the UK's leading Automotive & Aerospace companies, working in partnership to develop bespoke technological systems.Senior Electrical Design Engineer£45-55k + Pension, Healthcare, Friday Early FinishPotential for higher remuneration for Engineers with more managerial/leadership experienceBirmingham, West MidlandsRef: 24189This person will be a highly influential member of the team, remaining in a hands-on role but also taking the lead of a team of 3 including electrical & mechanical designers.Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:Supporting customer review meetings and generating proposal / specification documentsCreating and reviewing designs for customer applications, ensuring they are not over- engineered and producing accurate BOM’s for handover to purchasing and manufacturingProducing technical drawings and schematics as requiredGood document control including engineering change control and drawing revisionCreating documentation and performing risk analysis reviews to support UKCA / CE marking as appropriate Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:c5 years+ experience as an electrical design engineer, with good understanding of special purpose machinery/bespoke machine buildExperience of EPlan highly advantageous, however training can be provided if you are competent with another electrical design platformUnderstanding of vehicle electrical systems & schematics very helpful, but not essential providing you have an interest to be involved in this areaProven ability to support and work with customers directlyproven background of providing team leadership/mentoring of other EngineersPreferably, you will have solid mechanical understanding, with the ability to complete the initial mechanical scope to help support the design team.You will become part of a talented and friendly team, who are known for taking innovative approaches and embracing new technologies.
