Certain Advantage are working with a global Engineering and Technical services firm to hire a Senior Commercial Manager to be based out of their Somerset offices.

The Opportunity:

Our client is engaged in critical projects within the Nuclear Power sector across the UK and Europe, including new build and innovative technology developments. Our teams are embedded in major projects across the UK right now, contributing to significant advancements in the nuclear energy industry.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Supply Chain team, managing a Design, Manufacturing, and Installation contract for a key turbine project. This involves daily collaboration with internal teams and the supplier to optimize contract performance in terms of cost, delivery, and quality. The role requires strong relationship management skills, commercial governance oversight, and the ability to navigate complex project interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial and contract management for assigned elements of the Turbine Programme, focusing on logistics and care & maintenance contracts.
Manage contract processes, including drafting, negotiating variations, and handling claims.
Collaborate with interfacing projects to ensure program needs are met and impacts mitigated.
Administer contracts using the CEMAR management tool.
Ensure compliance with governance, processes, and procedures.
Foster collaborative supplier relationships.
Facilitate the transfer of operational expertise between projects.
Line manage and develop a Commercial Manager.Requirements:

Proven experience in contract administration for large infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Experience in regulated environments and procurement processes.
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and professional chartership (RICS, MCIPS) is preferred.
