Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Warrington or Derby (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £48,000 - £62,500 (Depending on Experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Clearance Required: BPSS (with DBS & financial probity checks)

The Opportunity

We're supporting a major UK-based clean energy initiative-one that's redefining what's possible in the nuclear sector. As Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering demonstrator projects that validate the design, manufacture, and assembly of modular civil engineering systems and site factory solutions.

This is a pivotal opportunity to work on a nationally significant programme that will power the transition to net-zero, all while advancing your career in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of direct and indirect engineering staff to deliver civil kit-of-parts demonstrators and the site factory demonstrator.
Ensure the design for manufacture and assembly supports technical, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
Align the delivery of demonstrators with modular construction strategies, ensuring supplier compliance with defined methodologies.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure robust delivery.
Oversee project management responsibilities, including resource planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Manage performance, workloads, and development of your engineering team with support from senior leadership.
Communicate programme vision and technical requirements effectively to both internal teams and external delivery partners.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Proven experience in civil manufacturing, ideally in modular or offsite construction environments.
Strong leadership skills with experience leading engineering teams and managing delivery across complex programmes.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across design, supply chain, manufacturing, and delivery.
Understanding of design-for-manufacture principles and validation/experiment planning.
Background in regulated industries such as nuclear, infrastructure, energy, or aerospace is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

Base Salary: £48,000 - £62,500 (Depending on Experience)
Performance Bonus: Target opportunity of 12.5%
Benefits Allowance: £2,200 per annum to spend flexibly
Pension: 12% employer / 6% employee contributions
Holidays: 28 days + public holidays (option to buy/sell 4 days)
Private Medical: BUPA single cover
Life Assurance: 6x pensionable salary
Home Office Support: £250 one-off payment for remote setup
