Job Description

This role involves designing avionic and electrical systems for aircraft, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards. Responsibilities include developing wiring diagrams, creating design documentation, troubleshooting, and collaborating with suppliers and other departments. The position requires leading technical projects, mentoring engineers, and maintaining industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop avionic and electrical design schemes, including wiring diagrams for aircraft modifications.
  • Create design documentation such as modification instructions, safety assessments, and verification reports.
  • Ensure design accuracy, compliance with standards, and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct safety and system testing, analysis, and validation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support design reviews.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree or HND/HNC/OND in electrical engineering or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience in aerospace design, particularly avionics and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of aircraft components, manufacturing, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to obtain UK security clearance.
