Job Title: Satellite AIT Electrical Systems Engineer
Location: Stevenage UK
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Job Description :
  • We are seeking an experienced Satellite AIT Electrical Systems Engineer to support test preparation, execution, and debugging activities on spacecraft systems during ambient and environmental test campaigns. This position involves close collaboration with project stakeholders, contributing to reviews and resolving non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret test specifications and define test solutions
  • Develop, debug, and execute automated test procedures using CCS (Central Checkout System)
  • Provide first-line support for test teams and fault investigations
  • Participate in Test Readiness Reviews, Post Test Reviews, and NRBs (Non-Conformance Review Boards)
  • Prepare test documentation including reports and procedures
  • Support functional and performance testing during environmental phases (TVAC, EMC, magnetic)
  • Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols and company standards

Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in spacecraft, aerospace, or high-tech systems engineering
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience with spacecraft systems testing and debugging
  • Hands-on with Central Checkout System (CCS), ideally with knowledge of Elisa and Java
  • Familiar with TMTC Databases and Spacecraft Subsystems (e.g. 1553, SpaceWire, AOCS, FDIR)
  • Proficient in scripting (bash, C, Java, Python, TCL, or VBA preferred)
  • Competence in using electrical test equipment (e.g. DMM, oscilloscopes, data bus analyzers)
  • Background in fault investigation and environmental test campaigns
  • Experience preparing test documentation and supporting test reviews
