Job Description

Are you an experiencedSafety Engineerwith a background inaerospace and aero engine systems?

Come and join a specialist team tackling complex safety-related issues across propulsion and engine systems, helping to ensure safety and compliance across some of the most technically advanced aerospace programmes in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading investigations into safety issues in aerospace products – root cause analysis, hazard identification, and risk evaluations
  • Developing and implementing robust technical strategies to resolve safety concerns
  • Collaborating with technical experts across propulsion, air systems, stress, thermal and performance domains
  • Managing SAR (Safety Assessment Report) activities using structured project tools and methods
  • Producing clear technical documentation: safety cases, investigation reports, risk assessments
  • Presenting technical findings confidently to senior engineering stakeholders
  • Aligning multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent technical direction and project momentum


Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (BEng/MEng)
  • 5+ years in aerospace safety engineering, ideally in design or engine-focused environments
  • Knowledge of safety analysis techniques:
  • FMECA, FTA, fault tree analysis, hazard logs, qualitative/quantitative risk assessment
  • Familiarity with aerospace safety standards and frameworks.
  • DO-178, ARP4754, ARP4761, EASA, CAA, FAA
  • Strong technical communication skills – both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset
  • Bonus if you have certifications in safety or project management (e.g. NEBOSH, TÜV, APM)
