About This Position:
Are you a sales professional with a strong drive to succeed? Hernshead Recruitment is looking for an ambitious, motivated individual to join our growing team as a Recruitment Consultant, specialising in the Engineering sector. If you're passionate about building relationships, have a knack for sales, and are eager to take on a high-pressure but high-reward role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Hernshead Group is a leading recruitment agency specialising in the engineering and technology sectors, including aerospace, automotive, automation, and more. Since our launch in 2019, we’ve rapidly grown into one of the UK’s fastest-growing recruitment agencies, with a turnover of over £3.5 million and a 5-year plan for global expansion. We can offer competitive salary, easy-to-understand commission elevating you to higher earning potential as well as an equity scheme, where you can own shares in the business. There is a clear progression plan with no ambiguity; if you want to reach the top and you have the motivation and capabilities to do so, you absolutely can. We also have 1 day a week working from home, incentives including a supercar for the weekend as well as 2 annual holidays and 4 lunch clubs.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Recruitment Consultant at Hernshead, you’ll be responsible for managing your own desk, working closely with clients in the aerospace industry to understand their recruitment needs and placing top talent in exciting roles. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure sales environment where you’ll drive results, build relationships, and make a real impact. Your success will be directly tied to your efforts – the harder you work, the more you earn.
You’ll need to be resilient, confident on the phone, and comfortable managing multiple tasks. Whether you're sourcing candidates, building client relationships, or negotiating offers, your sales skills will be key to your success.
Experience Required:

  • Sales Experience: You have a proven track record in sales, whether that's in a call centre, estate agency, or other target-driven roles.
  • Drive & Determination: You’re motivated by achieving and exceeding targets, with a desire to earn big and progress quickly in your career.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You’ll be liaising with clients and candidates, so you must be confident, persuasive, and able to build rapport easily.
  • Full UK Driving Licence: You'll need to drive to meet clients and candidates, so a driving licence is essential.
  • Interest in Engineering: While not essential, any interest or background in engineering or technology will be a bonus.
If you’re a driven sales professional who thrives in a target-focused environment and wants to carve out a rewarding career in recruitment, Hernshead offers the perfect opportunity for you.
