Quality Systems, Environmental & Health & Safety Engineer

Overall purpose of the role

Main focus is responsibility for driving the Quality Management System (QMS), aligning procedures and processes with rest of operations team to support the QMS. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 requirements

Ensuring the Environmental management system is maintained in line with legislation & ISO 14001 standards

Maintaining & documenting the Health & Safety system

Key responsibilities

• Support the effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the site, including any business accreditations.

• Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.

• Support the maintenance of site accreditation (IATF16949, ISO9001 & 14001) and perform audits as per customer requirements such as VDA.

• Organise and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.

• Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors. • Host external Quality System audits.

• Provide training on Quality Systems and business processes as required

• Coordinate reviews and updates to business procedures.

• Support other departments of the business to develop and maintain relevant procedures and processes.

• Develop, Collate and Report on relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.

• Write reports and present progress to Senior Management.

• Ensure environmental waste management is managed correctly

Skills & Attributes

• Lead Auditor IATF 16949 & VDA 6.3, ISO 14001 with AS9100 desirable.

• Experience maintaining IATF to ensure continued certification

• Good understanding of Health & safety system management

• Self-driven and motivated.

• Ability to communicate and work with to all levels from shop floor to Directors.

• Assertive, resilient and welcomes change.

• Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others.
