Context CommsAudit has successfully developed a rangeof RF Monitoring and Direction-Finding systems and sub-systems andis well positioned to grow market share through a number ofstrategic projects both through prime contractors and direct to endcustomers. In order to sustainably grow market share, CommsAuditneeds to strengthen its approach to producing reliablehigh-performance systems and sub-systems. What you’ll be doing TheQuality Lead would be required to provide their expertise, guidanceand support to Project Managers, the production team and otherstakeholders in the execution of the quality management system,policies, and procedures, with the ability to challenge currentthinking in a pragmatic and constructive manner. 1. Responsible forCompany Processes and Procedures: 1. Support a review of existingproduction, QA and supplier management processes and procedures. 2.Lead and support buy-in and adoption across the business. 3.Support the roll-out and adoption of an Enterprise ResourcePlanning (ERP) system. 4. Continually review and improve processesand procedures. 5. Develop new product development and new productintroduction processes. 6. Lead ISO 9001:2015/ISO 14001:2015 andother external audit/certification activities. 7. Ensure theIntegrated Management System (IMS) is maintained and continuallyimproved. 2. Responsible for Key Supplier Management: 1. Manage keysuppliers including working closely with purchasing staff toestablish supplier quality qualification and performance criteria.2. Monitor supplier performance and identify potential new keysuppliers to improve quality and/or margin. 3. Support theassessment of suppliers product specifications and quality plans.4. Supervise/conduct supplier audits where necessary. 5. Contributeto the ‘make-or-buy’ decision process and manage the procurementprocess where outsourcing is deemed appropriate. 3. Accountable forQuality Assurance: 1. Accountability for the quality of alloutgoing systems and sub-systems. 2. Provide guidance and support(including Quality Plans) to Project Managers for special projectsand custom developments. 3. Work closely with the production team(including test) to ensure QA processes are followed appropriately.Essential Skills Experience of developing and implementing aquality management framework in any industry is essential,preferably in an aerospace or defence environment. Experience ofISO 9001:2015/ISO 14001:2015 audit process is essential. We placeas much emphasis on the right attitude and personality asexperience.
