We’re proud to be working with a well-established manufacturer that plays a key role in supporting high-precision sectors through specialist component production and inspection. With a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and attention to detail, they are looking to welcome a new Quality Assurance Inspector to their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our manufacturing site in Nottingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out hands-on inspections at all stages of production, from goods-in through to final release. They’ll take the lead on calibrating measuring equipment, maintaining quality records, and supporting audits to ensure processes remain fully compliant with industry standards. They’ll also work closely with both internal teams and external partners to uphold the company’s high-quality benchmarks.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting such as Aerospace or Automotive. They’ll be confident using a range of measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and they’ll have a solid grasp of technical drawings. Familiarity with calibration systems as well as general computer skills including Microsoft Office, will also be important.

They are offering up to £18.50 per hour D.O.E for the position. The company also provides a pension scheme and access to structured training to help them grow in your role. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection tasks including PPAP, receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspection

  • Calibrate inspection equipment and liaise with external providers to ensure schedules are maintained

  • Maintain accurate quality records using systems including Gagetrak and support documentation for audits

  • Use a wide range of inspection tools including height gauges, micrometers, plug and ring gauges, and comparators

  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all inspection equipment

  • Support internal and external audits, including AS9100 and customer audits

  • Communicate regularly with the Quality Manager regarding any issues or improvements

  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to address quality concerns and support returns processes

  • Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised work area

  • Complete all relevant paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail

    Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Confident using a variety of inspection tools and interpreting technical drawings

  • Familiar with both Imperial and Metric measurements

  • Experienced working with calibration software

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn ERP systems

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and proactive in approach

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
