Our client is a large, growing, and well-respected aerospace manufacturing organization. They are looking for an experienced quality inspector to join their team, based in Derby. The ideal candidate will have previous experience inspecting a range of components with a number of dimensional measurement tools (gauges, micrometres, verniers etc). Experience operating CMM machines would be perfect but isn’t essential and will be trained.

Job Description

Inspecting a range of machined and fabricated components, using dimensional measurement tools such as verniers/calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.
To carry out 1st off Inspection / Receipt Inspection / Inspection and Calibration activities as required to support operations.
Running CMM programmes; analysing and recording results and making appropriate quality decisions.
To support the internal non-conformance process; raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Well-versed inspecting a range of high precision components/parts, to tight tolerances
Experience working within a highly regulated environment/industry (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, oil & gas, rail for example)
Confident using dimensional measurement tools such as verniers/calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.
Positive attitude, with an open mind to learning new skills

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Experience operating or programming CMM Machines
Knowledge/experience compiling FAIRS
Aerospace industry knowledge/experience
