We are recruiting for a prismatic machining & mechanical assembly business for the Civil & Military Aerospace Industry. Our client specialise in high speed 5 axis soft & hard metal plus composite machining up to 3 meters in length. We are looking for a full time permanent Quality Inspector to be based in Hyde.

Key skills required:

  • The ideal Quality Inspector must have over 3 years working experience in inspection

  • College Level 3 Certificate or equivalent in mechanical engineering or machining

  • Must have experience of using various measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, height gauges etc. to qualify manufactured and purchased parts to both internal and external specifications.

  • The ability to set-up and use a CMM is a definite advantage.

  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, work orders, engineering specifications, and route cards.

  • Must have a good understanding and application of geometric dimensions, fits and tolerances.

  • Problem solving skills, particularly concerning the repair of worn parts where there is evidence of distortion, wear, ambiguous instructions or lack of clear information.

  • Effective communication skills, especially record keeping.

  • Must be able to get along with others, function as a team player and, when necessary, accept constructive criticism.

    The successful Quality Inspector will have the ability to progress their career or skills forward and in return our client are offering a competitive hourly rate of pay, and benefits to be confirmed.

    Hours of work Monday to Thursday 7.45am – 5pm and Friday 7.45am – 10.45am - shift system
