Job Description

Join ALTEN UK as aQuality Engineerand play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of high-performance aerospace components. Work at the forefront of quality assurance, whereFAIR reviews,internal audits, andsupplier oversightdirectly impact flight-critical products. With access to state-of-the-art manufacturing and engineering environments, this role offers the opportunity to influence product excellence and maintain compliance withaerospace regulationsand industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approveFirst Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)in line withAS9102and customer specifications
  • Conductinternal and supplier auditsto ensure conformance withISO 9001 / AS9100standards, following up on corrective actions
  • Leadroot cause analysisandCAPAactivities using tools such as8D,5 Whys, andIshikawato reduce non-conformances
  • Support the improvement and documentation of theQuality Management System (QMS)and ensure site-wide compliance
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to supportproduct verification, validation, and quality planning
  • Contribute toQMS training, process standardisation, and quality culture initiatives within cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • Degree inEngineering,Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 8 years' experience withinaerospace,automotive, or similarlyregulated industries
  • Strong working knowledge ofFAIRs,non-conformance handling, andaudit standards(ISO 9001 / AS9100)
  • Proficient inquality toolssuch asPFMEA,control plans,SPC, and general Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, anddata analysisskills
  • Lead Auditorcertification (highly desirable)
