Role:
The Project Manager will be accountable for the success of their projects and will integrate efforts between all functions (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality and others as required) to manage risk ensuring the teams delight the customer and stakeholders by meeting cost, schedule and requirement targets.

This role is based at Wolverhampton


Responsibilities:

Leadership of multiple projects  Manage daily workload and gated process Accountable for the delivery of all project milestones  Effective management and mitigation of project risk throughout product life cycle Generate a strong focus on customer relationships whilst motivating team members on delivering internal objectives Creation and maintenance of robust, adequately detailed and resourced project plans to enable progress, track cost and accurately forecast resource requirements Provide regular and effective project performance updates to management including key project metrics such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Manage projects in line with Local Management System, including leading effective gate reviews to senior management Pro-actively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and define mitigation actions Lead or support creation of new bids and proposals with responsibility for planning and commercial aspects Lead various types of project such as NPI, R&D and lean manufacturing for example. Participate and lead continuous improvement activities to drive efficiency and eliminate waste within processes and the organization Promote a culture of high performance, innovation and continuous improvement Contribute to improving the programmes team through process and tool development





Minimum Requirements:
 Education – Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, a recognised project management qualification is highly desirableExperience – Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering complex engineering projects, preferably in the Aerospace industry Demonstrated expertise in managing issues and scope changes while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirementsExperience in project financial and resource planning and management, ensuring a complete and accurate view is available on requestStrong leadership skills and the ability to convey effective direction using strong written and verbal skills.Excellent skills in communication and reporting to customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels
