Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear. 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage projects from concept to completion. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of electrical projects. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Key Responsibilities

Delivery of Capital Projects (M&E) activities to sites in Kettering and Corby.  

Submit Quotations for project work up to the value of £250k

Coordinate with client engineering, production and quality teams to schedule in work and ensure alignment with project goals.

Ensure quote backlog is kept under KPI targets.

Liaise with management and supervision as required to support the overall contract.

Liaise with Client to identify job requirements and define scope of works.

Design, develop and deliver competitive tender packages in a timely manner

Upon receipt of purchase order advise accounts team of estimated completion date and estimated GP

Develop site strategic plans with other managers

Identify job risks and implement risk management strategies

Engage and manage third party contractors

Report job status and progress to stakeholders from receipt of purchase order to job completion

Manage manpower and materials processes to ensure cost effective delivery of revenue works 

Liaise with Team Leaders & Site Management to assess impact of labour requirements.

Monitor and control job budget reporting to Account Director.

Understand job scope, implement and manage job variations and costs

Ensure Task Based Risk Assessment and Method Statements are submitted for approval in a timely fashion

Monitor job quality to relevant Code of Practice (CoP) and compliance with issued Task Based Risk Assessment and Method Statement

Regularly attend pre / post project planning meetings

•    Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 (Quality), OHSA 18001 (Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental).

•    Ensure that all sub- contractor work or items purchased have a PO number raised and issued

•    Ensure apprentices working on site are kept safe and are exposed to relevant engineering activities to enhance their college work and practical skill base.

Skills and Experience

Ability to plan and organise their work effectively to meet changing environments and needs

Proven track record to the successful delivery of electrical services related projects

Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices

Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis

IT skills required with specific reference to the Microsoft suite of packages

Good written and oral communication skills

Flexible and pro-active attitude in all aspects of the role including working hours

A decision maker who can think clearly under pressure

Specific Skills and Experience

Proven experience within a Project Management position. 

Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
