About the Opportunity

The role of the Project Engineer is expected to work as a key stakeholder manager in relation to ongoing work, managing our reputation and interests with our customer whilst also delivering in accordance with the project specific contract requirements. Support from all internal stakeholders within Hyde Group together with on-the-job experience and training as deemed necessary will be provided to achieve this goal.

Responsibilities:



Developing & maintaining close working relationships with all Stakeholders.

*

Regular visits to Manufacturing sites to establish Progress / Issues / Risks / Opportunities.

*

Monitoring and management of the technical element of the Document Control platform.

*

Ensure the Change Control Process is utilised.

*

Maintaining project trackers and issuing of daily updates.

*

Producing required information for project reporting.

*

Reporting to Senior Project Manager and Projects Director.

*

Weekly Reporting progress to the customer.

*

Generate and maintain project schedule (MS project).

Essential Skills:

*

Strong IT skills (in particular Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint).

*

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

*

Good understanding of basic engineering principles.

*

Experience of working in a project/customer facing role in a manufacturing/engineering setting.

*

Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

*

Good commercial awareness.

*

Ability to produce and understand KPI’s/reporting.

*

Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites, this includes:

*

Overseas Travel (EU).

*

Working from sites in Manchester, Risley, Cumbria and Wolverhampton.

*

Extended periods of time working away at a nuclear licensed site in the UK.

*

Hold or be suitable to gain Security Clearance at the required level.

*

The desire to develop your career.

*

Full Driving Licence.

Articulate and have good communication skills.

*

Strong leadership skills including team management.

*

Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.

*

Strong and decisive in managing subcontractors.

*

Attention to detail with a good quality and safety ethos.

*

Good verbal and written communication skills.

*

Must have the right to work in the UK.
