Responsibilities

Provide leadership, development & direction to the team Responsibility for the performance of projects within your area of responsibility Deliver strong financial performance. Ensuring Project Financial Reviews are performed in line with company process, supporting the UK Head of Projects to manage KPIs Championing the SQCDP process Assessing and monitoring the performance of project staff and supporting the arrangement for training of personnel in accordance with company needs in conjunction with the relevant Capability Leads and Learning & Development. The preparation of budgets for submission to the relevant Account Delivery Lead, including Ensuring that the customers’ requirements are being met and achieving maximum efficiency and economy compatible with the quality required by the customer. Driving continuous improvement with your area of responsibility Liaison with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that customer quality requirements are fully understood at the proposal stage and on receipt of orders. Ensuring that necessary corrective actions, following internal audits, are initiated and promptly implemented. Ensuring the security of data and information received in-confidence from clients. Develop a strategy that delivers sustainable business growth​ Contacting new clients in new markets to expand the business Selling products and services provided by the business Proposals for development and the acquisition of new equipment and skills. Ensuring that each bid and project is adequately staffed and correctly organised, to achieve maximum efficiency. Encouraging other employees and customers to take part in growing the business by showing enthusiasm for your work and maintaining a positive attitude Contract management of orders to include negotiation of initial orders, amendments to orders, work variation payments and financial progress monitoring.

Qualifications

HND/degree level within an Engineering, Project Management or Business/Operational Management field or/and be able to demonstrate experience and proven capability. PMP (Project Management Professional) or APM certification is preferred

Leadership and delivery skills (Can do attitude, leading by example) Project Management Methods and Tool sets Business Development methods and Tool sets Able to adapt to a constantly changing environment, calm under pressure. Ability to drop in to detailed tasks to drive the team forward at pace when required Great communication skills. Management of self and workload to ensure on time delivery. Conversant with Microsoft Office packages

Experience

Significant experience in an Operational, Programme leadership and Business Development Exceptional KPI Ownership & delivery focus High level of contractual and financial acumen Significant / Aerospace / Defence sector experience preferably within an Engineering Services business. Experience of performance management of people & teams Demonstrable experience of leading the development and successful implementation of strategic programmes. Experience of working with diverse and multiple stakeholders, in a complex environment
