What does the job involve?

Ensuring the best manufacturing techniques are carried out by practical application of the most appropriate methods of programming, setting and operation of the machine tools and to stimulate an atmosphere of continuous improvement.

Hours of work:37.5 hours per week.

Core shift- Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:15 and Friday 08:00 to 15:00 with 30-minute break for lunch

Production Operative Aerospace- What will my responsibilities include?’

Programming, setting, and operating as required, all machines within the cell. Ensuring that the methods, tooling, and fixtures used to effectively achieve a cost-effective quality product in accordance with the production requirements. Monitoring the process during manufacture to ensure total process control is maintained. Ensuring an energetic pursuit of improved methods. Ensuring that the required Quality standards are achieved by strict adherence to the relevant company procedures. Ensuring that high standards of safety and housekeeping are maintained within the manufacturing area. Ensuring that preventative maintenance schedules are strictly carried out. Ensuring that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current practice.

Production Operative Aerospace - What key skills and experience do I need?

Must have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential) Wide ranging manufacturing process Knowledge, across differing materials in varying applications Experience of working to engineering drawings or work instructions i.e. Job Cards Knowledge of how to machine, handle and protect all types of manufactured components Experience and ability to program, set and operate different machine tools. Ability to interpret technical drawings with a high-level understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances. Working on large components with the use of a steady. (Desirable) Good knowledge of Health & Safety (Desirable) Basic computer skills, i.e Microsoft Word, Excel. (Desirable)
