Production Operative – Immediate Start – Hereford

We are recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of a global engineering leader specialising in high-performance alloys for aerospace, power generation, space exploration, and defence. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operating manufacturing machinery including lathes, grinders, saws, drills, and handheld tools
Setting up machines for production runs and ensuring correct operation throughout the shift
Using precision measuring equipment such as gauges, tape measures, and rulers to check tolerances and product quality
Following technical instructions, diagrams, or production schedules accurately
Performing basic machine maintenance and safety checks
Working to strict quality standards and completing relevant production documentation
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with health & safety regulations
Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets
Adapting to different tasks and processes as required by production demandsWhat We’re Looking For
Previous manufacturing or production experience (essential)
Ability to operate or set up industrial machinery and tools
Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
Willingness to work a 3-shift rotation (6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6)
Dependable, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
