Working hours: Day shift Monday – Thursday 7.30am-4.00pm and Friday 7.30am- 12.30pm

Salary/ Rate: £50-£55k per annum depending on experience

Ristara Engineering is working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of aerospace components based in Derbyshire who have been established for 30 years. They are renowned for machining, assembly, inspection, fabrication and sheet metal

Manufacturing parts for precision aerospace companies, you will become part of a well-respected company within the UK. The position will be based at the site in Central Derby. Our client currently employ over 200 people at the site, we are now looking to add contract support to the work force to assist with the growth of the business.

Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must have DBS checks (disclosure & barring service) and need to be a UK citizen.

Responsibilities and Duties are required for the Production Manager role:

  • Extensive knowledge of production processes, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry

  • First class leadership and motivational skills

  • Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety and environmental management

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and other modern manufacturing methods.

  • Work to and promote company policies, procedures and Health, Safety & Environmental standards including IS9001 and 18001, in order to promote a strong HS&E culture and provide a healthy and secure working environment for all

  • Work in conjunction with the wider site team to reduce the number of accidents, near misses and environmental hazards utilising 6S principles managing HS&E proactively and effectively

  • Support legislative site audits and site action plans to drive improved safety standards and continuous improvement performance throughout the business

  • Drive improvement in delivery performance through continuous improvement measures, to exceed customer expectations and targets

  • Generate visual operational metrics which enable operational performance to be effectively tracked on a regular basis
