In this role:

You will be deeply involved in the support of the SAF Powder Bed Fusion products. Focus will be on complex and escalated issues, improvements of the product and serviceability.


The Product Support Engineerwill be part of the Customer Success team for SAF, an experienced support team, whose responsibility it is to provide high level technical support and contribute to the development of technical and training material.


What you will be doing:

  • Responsible to support the lifecycle of supported equipment (printer, material, software and post processing including 3rd party) through alignment with the business unit from pre and post production, through end-of service phases.
  • Provides technical leadership in product problem solving, product development activities, protocol development and report writing.
  • Work with product management, engineering and other departments for new product development introduction and execute and manage Beta plans.
  • Ensures that customer service documents, policies, procedure, workflows and reporting formats are established and maintained. Work with technical writers, regional technical support to develop knowledge based training documents. Ensuring all required documents are available, accurate and current.
  • Identifies appropriate spare part needs and documents specific processes and procedures that are required to diagnose and repair systems in the field and in the Refurbishment process.


Must have for this role:

  • 4+ years’ experience in product support or technical service role with a focus on electro-mechanical equipment.
  • 2+ years working with drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate through all levels of the organization.
  • 4+ years in a customer facing position in servicing the needs of the customers.
  • Willingness to work within different time zones with frequent early and/or late hour meetings.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with 3D printing
  • Experience with Data Analysis in Excel
  • Ability to collect and analyze process data as part of the process troubleshooting team.


Travel required:25%
