Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the Manufactured Products team in defining and executing the long-term product, project delivery and services strategy to supply cables for offshore wind developments. Define business and technology roadmaps, as well as Oceaneering’s system offering and collaborate with the organization to obtain the resources, support and alignment required to deliver.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

·Create product and business strategy for offshore wind power transmission solutions. Define business outcomes and manage product and technology roadmaps to achieve those outcomes.

·Lead new R&D and new product development activities.

·Assess and execute opportunities for strategic partnerships.

·Work with the manufacturing organisation to define manufacturing, testing and transportation strategy and define investment required.

·Work with the supply chain organisation to define supply chain strategy to achieve the safety, quality and project execution commercial outcomes required.

·Work with the engineering organisation in development of both the product strategy and definition of the engineering competency and tools required in support of successful delivery of the business strategy.

·Develop product and project cost analysis, compare with market competitive standards, and utilise them to create business plans to support profitable delivery aligned with company objectives.

·Create and manage annual budgets to support offshore wind power cables and integrate them into the business financial planning.

·Identify and secure opportunities for government and customer support, managing the funding application process.

·Engage with customer, government and trade bodies to promote Oceaneering solutions.

·Support the business development and sales team, engaging with customers key to our business strategy as required.

·Assisting with product launches and marketing campaigns.

·Support the tendering teams in execution of offshore wind cable tenders.

·Conduct competitive intelligence assessments.

·Understand technology trends and international standards development. Provide insight and recommendations into innovative solutions and technology.

·Oversee Team Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing feedback and guidance to ensure high-quality work and continuous improvement.

·Mentorship and Development: Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.

·Resource Allocation: Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure project deadlines and objectives are achieved.

·Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

·Team Meetings: Organize and lead regular team meetings to discuss project progress, address any challenges, and plan future activities.

·Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, project status, and other relevant metrics to senior management.

·Consistently display required levels of engagement and a positive can-do attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement.

·Carry out any other duties/tasks/requests in accordance with Oceaneering business needs.

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to, so far as is reasonably practicable, to ensure a safe working environment. Support the organization's drive towards excellence in Health and Safety performance.

Other

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence utilising the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

§This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities but has matrix supervisor responsibility. The role may evolve into direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

·Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree or equivalent education and experience

·Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.

DESIRED

·Extensive knowledge of complete subsea distribution solutions, the design, manufacturing, testing, transportation, installation and life of field operations of the products and the systems they integrate with.

·Product Development / Management Experience

·Experience with customer-facing marketing, communications, and negotiations.

·Regional intercultural communications and business relationships.

·Exposure to country legal structures, and international contracts.

·Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and PeopleSoft ERP System. Strong PowerPoint skills.

·Experience evidencing a strong Business Acumen.

·Relevant Offshore / oilfield operational experience required.

·Ability to influence and drive matrix decisions in non-hierarchical peer situations.

·Ability to plan, organise and direct the work of others.

·Ability to communicate to all audiences from executive to operations.

·Ability to present to large audiences (at exhibitions, conferences etc)

·Ability to communicate complex system and product solutions with clarity to non-technical client, government and industry stakeholders.
