Hexcel is currently seeking aProcurement and Logistics Managerfor ourDuxford, UKlocation.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Provide effective leadership and direction to site Procurement and Logistics personnel to ensure the organisation consistently delivers efficient and timely supply chain solutions and services, coach and Mentor direct reports to ensure they have the necessary support/ skills/ capabilities to succeed in their role and develop their respective team members. Provide formal training for all members of these functions. Works with the Planning team ensuring potential supply issues are identified and mitigated in a proactive and timely manner, developing close collaborative relationships with stake holders to ensure a free flow of information and intelligence between all parties ensuring robust detailed production schedules are in place, risk assessed and that achieve optimal levels of customer service whilst considering inventory targets. Oversee short and long-range planning to ensure all key resources, facilities, raw materials are developed and in support of customer service requirements of the business. Oversee all shipping/receiving, warehouse and distribution operations at the site. Responsible for ensuring all activities in these areas are following applicable safety, quality and customs procedures. Develop new Customer replenishment strategies to ensure site is responsive to changing customer needs. Support the development of supply agreements, services and capital agreements as applicable, including the effective completion of all necessary contract, compliance and risk assessment activities. Ensure active participation in the SIOP / S&OP process to ensure complete alignment of supply and demand through the supply chain, support the effective deployment of SIOP process within the areas of your responsibility. Develop appropriate replenishment strategies and ‘Days of Replenishment’ for all raw materials ensuring optimal and accurate maintenance of all master data and parameters in the ERP system to ensure accurate and robust supply plans are available for the plant and all key stakeholders. Ensure the effective implementation of key Supply Chain metrics aligned to the Customer Service Strategy and integrated into the site scorecards. Responsible for ensuring overall robustness and support of core Supply Chain management systems through collaboration with IT support and the AX Project Team. Accountable to ensure accuracy of master data specifications and deployment of appropriate training. Responsible for the tactical deployment of all warehousing systems in collaboration with the Global team. Develop and support the creation and upskilling of lead user/ SME user groups in support of key modules.

Qualifications:

Previous exposure to an AEO, Authorized Economic Operator, working environment with responsibly for compliance and enforcement or Known Consignment regulations. Exposure to IPR, Inward Processing Relief, ensuring compliance for product commodity codes for product entering the business. Previous experience, Minimum of 5 years, managing a team within a manufacturing environment encompassing areas of responsibility --Warehouse, inventory control, logistics and Planning. Experience of 5S and Lean methodologies, Six Sigma exposure would be beneficial. ERP /MRP experience including system maintenance and health checks. Supply Chain experience in a senior plant position of a vertically integrated, multi-national organization. Able to handle multiple, competing priorities in a matrix organization. Cultural Awareness. Fluent in English. Willing and able to travel 10-15% of the time.
