What you’ll do

Provide expert technical services in the field of SatCom (satellite communications) to Vodafone. This includes planning, design, project management, and implementation of a wide variety of complex satellite earth station and customer projects worldwide. Keep abreast of new developments, techniques, standards, and equipment in the field.

Who you are

  • Experience as a SatCom engineer.
  • Experience managing large multidiscipline engineering projects.
  • Field experience in satellite engineering, operations, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of IP network design and delivery.
  • Ability to develop positive work relationships with colleagues.
  • Contribute to meetings of your work team on routine issues.
  • Influence colleagues to improve work processes.
  • Flexible and positive approach to changing priorities, focusing on maintaining service to customers.
  • Aware of your actions and others' to meet business objectives.
  • Analyze issues to identify root causes and impacts within your sphere of activity.
  • Research information as directed.
  • Develop solutions, make decisions, and implement actions for routine problems.
  • Be a team player.
  • Share knowledge, ideas, and results.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues when required.
  • Support the development of business processes.
  • Manage documentation related to projects and bid proposals.
  • Take a lead role in a multidisciplinary team providing complex, integrated customer solutions.
  • Evaluate solution alternatives in response to changing customer requirements, communicate their viability, and seek feedback on costs, timelines, or service impacts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, or related Engineering or Science discipline.
  • Engineering Institution Membership and at least Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.
