Position: Planning & Logistics Manager
Location: Dudley
Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

Our client is a leading provider of supply chain solutions in the plastic packaging industry. Due to growth thy are the hunt for a Logistics Manager within their facility in Dudley!

Role and Responsibilities –
In this role you will lead and coach the logistics team in working proactively towards maximizing our service-level, customer satisfaction and achieving departmental and personal objectives.

Other responsibilities include:

Liaise with Third Party sites
Manage the Transport team to ensure up to 600 transfers per week back to sites
Translating Supply Chain & Operations and other functional business strategies into operational goals with visible metrics
Accountability for delivering operational requirements.  Setting annual budgets, monitoring and controlling all expenses and operational costs.
Experience or Qualifications –

Proven experience in a previous fast paced logistics manager role
Expert liaison sills with third party sites and being able to show continuous improvement techniques with them
Data analysis driven – using it to improve on KPIs and examples of how to do so
Desirable knowledge of the food safety industry and ISO practices that they adhere too
Candidates who currently are a Logistics Manager, Planning & Logistics Manager or Supply Chain Manager may be suitable for this position.
